1. Warranty Coverage

Reconeyez, a division of Defendec, provides a limited warranty for all its devices—Detectors, Bridges, Sirens, Keypads, and related accessories - against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, installation, and environmental conditions.

Devices Covered:

  • Reconeyez Detectors, 
  • Bridges, 
  • Sirens and Keypads
  • Battery packs and extender units
  • Accessories supplied or approved by Reconeyez


2. Warranty Period

The warranty period begins on the dispatch date from Reconeyez or an authorised distributor. Extended warranty options may be available under specific commercial agreements.


3. What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship
  • Devices that fail under normal operating conditions as defined by Reconeyez technical specifications
  • Reasonable use in accordance with the installation and usage guidelines provided on support.reconeyez.com

If a valid claim is made within the warranty period, Reconeyez will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the device,
  • Replace the device with an equivalent model, or
  • Issue a credit note or refund if repair/replacement is not feasible.


4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or mechanical damage caused by misuse
  • Damage caused by:
    • Improper installation or mounting
    • Power supply faults or overvoltage
    • Water or environmental ingress beyond the device IP rating
    • Use of non-approved batteries or accessories
    • Modification or alteration of hardware or firmware
  • Failures caused by software, network interruptions, or incorrect configuration
  • Use outside of stated environmental conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity)
  • Product serial numbers or Long IDs that have been altered or removed
  • Devices damaged by improper handling or packaging during return shipping


5. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Visit support.reconeyez.com and submit a Support Ticket with:
    • Device Long ID and/or Serial Number
    • Description of the fault
    • Installation context and date
    • Photos or logs (if available)
  2. Our support team will assess the issue and provide instructions.
  3. If requested, return the item to the designated Reconeyez service address. Devices must be properly packaged and marked with an RMA number.
  4. If covered, Reconeyez will repair, replace, or credit the unit.


6. Limitation of Liability

Reconeyez’s liability is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of faulty hardware as stated above. In no event shall Reconeyez or its affiliates be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, income, or business
  • Claims arising from third-party services, networks, or installations


7. Local Law and Extended Rights

This warranty provides specific legal rights. You may also have other rights depending on your jurisdiction. This warranty does not affect statutory rights under applicable national or EU consumer laws.

8. Commercial and Project Use

For systems deployed under commercial contracts or tenders, extended warranty terms may be negotiated as part of the project agreement. Documentation for specific projects will override this general policy if mutually signed and agreed.
