    BridgeIO & BridgeIOv2

    • BridgeIO - the bridgeIO allows the connection of external devices to five relay outputs
    • BridgeIOv2 - the BridgeIOv2 allows the connection of the external inputs and five external outputs

    BridgeIOv2 introduction

    BridgeIO installation

The following will explain the various installation options for the BridgeIO & BridgeIOv2, this will include the following sections:

    1. SIM installation, battery connection, and 12VDC input connection
    2. Relay output connection
    3. Input connection (BridgeIOv2 only)

    1. SIM Installation, battery connection, and 12VDC supply

    • SIM Slot - the SIM slot is located under the mobile modem PCB, the SIM should be orientated as per the image and inserted in the direction of the red arrow on the image to the right
    •  Battery connection is made by connecting the lead from the battery to the connector indicated by the blue arrow
    • 12VDC connection, the bridgeIO & BridgeIOv2 are supplied with an IP67-rated external power supply, this is connected via the 12DC connections as marked by the yellow arrow. Alternative sources for 12VDC can be used.
    • To connect the BridgeIO to the server follow the same installation instructions as a standard Reconeyez bridge.

    Connecting the relay outputs

The relay outputs are designed to allow the connection of external devices. These can typically be lights, sirens, audio challenge speakers, 3rd party access control, or alarm systems.

The relay outputs can used as a volt-free contact closure typically used on inputs to other systems or as a wet output will a voltage applied to power devices such as lights or sirens.

    • Connections for Relay outputs
      • COM - Common (this is the common connection for relay outputs)
      • NO - Normally open, this connection will close the circuit on activation
      • NC - Normally closed, this connection will open the circuit on activation
    • Relay ratings, cables, and connections
      • Relay type - Form C (SPDT-NO, NC)
      • Relay output rating 8A, 250V
      • Relay contact rating 16A, 250VAC
      • Recommended min. wire size 1.3mm² / AWG 16
      • Output cable external diameter 3-6.5mm (sealed with M12 cable gland)

    Examples of connection options

    Connecting the inputs (BridgeIOv2 only)

The inputs are designed to allow the connection of external sensors or third-party systems to allow alerts through the Reconeyez system or to provide arm and disarm functionality via the change of the input state.

The input connections can be used as dry or wet contacts.

    Connections for Relay outputs

    • COM - Common (this is the common connection for relay outputs)
    • NO - Normally open, this connection will close the circuit on activation
    • NC - Normally closed, this connection will open the circuit on activation

Wet contact/dry contact selection (jumper selection - default is dry contacts)
