Overview
Integration is implemented by using Genetec WebSDK. Genetec version 5.10.4 is the earliest that supports the Reconeyez monitoring application. The current version expects the user to manually configure the Alarms and CustomEvents and set up Areas and Zones in the Config Tool. To use the Reconeyez specific monitoring application, end-users need to order an SDK connection with the specific part number. The part number corresponding to Reconeyez’s specific development is the following: GSC-1SDK-RECONEYEZ-MONITORING. If a formal quotation is required for clients’ projects, please contact Genetec Channel Sales or system integrator.
Information necessary to set up integration:
- The username and password of the Security Center user.
- Certificate for secure communication when SSL is used. Export the certificate as "DER encoder binary X.509 (.CER)" from Genetec Config Tool at System->Roles->Web-based SDK->Properties->Details->Copy to File..-.
- Server address and port where the Genetec Server is listening for Web SDK requests.
- Endpoint/Base URI for the Web SDK (default WebSdk).
- Account Identification (Account/area identification is handled in the background by the systems)
Description field format:
N/A
On the receiving system:
1. Open the publicly accessible port which directs to the specified Web-based SDK port in Genetec Server (default 4590).
2. In firewall allow connections from the appropriate Reconeyez server(s):
- demo.reconeyez.com - 167.71.3.59
- na.reconeyez.com - 104.131.39.97
- eu.reconeyez.com - 217.182.213.82
- uk.reconeyez.com - 209.97.141.119
- au.reconeyez.com - 170.64.230.60
3. To use Reconeyez specific application, end-users need to order an SDK connection with a specific Reconeyez part number. The part number corresponding to your specific development is the following: GSC-1SDK-RECONEYEZ-MONITORING. Genetec Channel Sales or Reconeyez system integrator needs to be contacted. (Not required if we use the test SDK access).
4. Configure Alarm types in Alarms
The following list of Alarms needs to be added:
Reconeyez event | Contact ID alarm type |
Motion | 1130 Burglar alarms |
RoutineControl | 1602 Periodic test report |
Tamper | 1137 Tamper |
CriticalBatteryShutdown | 1308 System shutdown |
BatteryRemoved | 1311 Battery missing dead |
AuxPowerLost | 1301 AC loss |
AuxPowerFound | 3301 AC loss restoral |
IntBatChargingFault | 1337 Exp Mod DC LOss |
IntBatChargingNormal | 3337 Exp Mod DC Restoral |
Snapshot | 1601 Manual Trigger Test Report |
For each alarm Reactivation threshold needs to be modified to be 0 in Alarms-><alarm entity>->Advanced->Reactivation threshold. For each alarm the user must configure suitable Recipients.
5. Configure Custom Events in System->General settings->Events
Following list of Events need to be added:
Reconeyez event | Contact ID alarm type |
Armed | 3400 Restore open/close |
Disarmed | 1400 New open/close |
ConnectionLost | 1350 Communication Trouble |
DeviceConnected | 3350 Restore communication trouble |
BatteryLow | 1302 Low system battery |
BatteryRestored | 3302 Restore Low system bat |
6. Configure Areas and Zones in Area view
Create Areas to reflect the Area tree in Reconeyez Cloud. Add the area name as a minimum. Optionally specify location on the Map. Each Zone is required to include a Logical ID that has the corresponding devices' short ID in decimal representation as a minimum. Use the Short Device ID written on the device or in the Reconeyez Cloud in each Device view. Use any online converter to cast it to the decimal representation, for example https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-decimal.html.
7. Change/add WebBrowserType to "Edge" (since 5.11.3) or "Chrome" in Security Desk configuration.
Follow these steps:
- Go to folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Genetec Security Center 5.x\ConfigurationFiles, where “x” is your Security Center version
- Make a copy of “App.SecurityDesk.config” file
- Open the “App.SecurityDesk.config” and modify the WebBrowserType value from "InternetExplorer" to "Chrome" or "Edge" as preferred.
- Save the file.
8. Add default map provider in System->Roles->Map Manager
